Scammers pretending to work at Moburst have set up fake websites and email addresses imitating Moburst employees, through which they are committing fraud.

In an unfortunate turn of events, there have been several instances of scammers posing as members of the Moburst team, using deceptive tactics to defraud unsuspecting individuals. We feel it’s crucial to keep our community informed about these scams and provide updates and insights into how they operate.
October 2022 Update
The first reported scam incident occurred in October 2022, when scammers impersonated Moburst employees and targeted individuals via an Australian phone number. The fraudsters promised “ASO work” if the victims agreed to invest in cryptocurrency, assuring them that the investment would be “refunded,” with a commission for every ASO task completed.
The scammers created fake websites mimicking Moburst to commit their fraudulent activities. Please note that any website claiming to be Moburst that is not our official domain: https://www.moburst.com is illegitimate.

September 2023 Update
This scam persisted with a new wave of impersonators using UK phone numbers and fake Moburst email addresses. Moburst does not engage in cryptocurrency dealings and would never request money from candidates or clients.
Remember, any dealings you may have had with a company purporting to be Moburst that has requested crypto investments are in no way affiliated with our company.
Make sure to NOT engage with any email address that does not correspond to our official domain, @moburst.com, with the exception of the following emails: [email protected] and [email protected], which are utilized for our influencer marketing and UGC services. November 2023 Update
Another incident involved scammers using a Dutch phone number and a fake website. This case led to an individual losing €600. As with prior incidents, the case was reported to the appropriate authorities.
May 2025 Update
We’ve recently been alerted to a new scam, reported by several individuals in the past few weeks.
Scammers are reaching out with fake job offers and directing people to a fraudulent site:
This site mimics a legitimate job application page and includes a Calendly link that ultimately asks users to log in using their Facebook credentials. In some cases, users are also invited to join fake “Career IT workshops.”
Please be aware:
- Moburst does not ask candidates to log in via social media platforms.
- We do not operate any job application platforms outside of our official website.
- All official communication from Moburst will come from a @moburst.com email address.
If you come across anything suspicious, please report it directly to us. We’re actively working to shut these operations down and appreciate your vigilance.
We have reported these cases to the appropriate authorities and encourage any victims of these scams to do so as well.
