Book insights expands to over a million ebooks and the iOS app

Book insights — a helpful reading companion on the Play Books Android app and web reader — is now available for more than a million English language ebooks, including popular bestsellers and free-of-charge titles.

We’re also bringing the feature, which was built with Gemini, to the Play Books iOS app, expanding its availability to even more readers.

With Book insights, you can get a recap of what you’ve read so far with “Catch me up,” or ask questions to dive deeper into themes, context, or characters — all while staying immersed in your book.
