I’ve spent my career (and a good portion of my life, to be honest) watching people confuse money with meaning. They think a bigger budget, a rarer wine, or a fancier venue will make something unforgettable. It won’t.

I’ve seen just as much awe at a $30 motel water-ballet as I have at Le Bernardin.

The common thread?

Attention.

Real taste isn’t about price points or Pinterest boards.

It’s about noticing… the pacing of a conversation, the temperature of a room, the way a glass is set down at the exact right moment.

Taste is a discipline of observation.

A practice of care.

Luxury is simply the residue of that care.
