From Indonesia to Taiwan: Kenangan Coffee’s Global Ascent
Kenangan Coffee’s expansion into Taiwan marks a groundbreaking chapter in its international growth journey, extending its footprint beyond Southeast Asia and further onto the global stage.
Edward Tirtanata, Group CEO and Co-Founder of Kenangan Brands, expressed, “We are very proud to bring Kenangan Coffee to Taiwan as part of our global expansion journey. Through this expansion, we want to introduce the richness of Indonesian coffee to a wider audience, not just as a commodity, but as a brand from Indonesia for the world. We hope to build strong connections, not only with the Indonesian community in Taiwan but also with the local Taiwanese community.”
Founded in 2017, Kenangan Coffee now operates over 1,400 outlets globally, including in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Australia, and India.

Kenangan Coffee’s entry into Taiwan was achieved through a partnership with a local partner who has high confidence in the brand’s potential to be accepted by Taiwanese consumers. With growing appreciation and demand for high-quality coffee and changing consumer preferences, Taiwan has become a strategic market for Kenangan Coffee’s continued expansion.
The grand opening was officially scheduled for April 10, 2026. Previously, Kenangan Coffee Taiwan had conducted a soft launch since March 28, 2026, and received very positive responses, averaging around 350 visitors per day on weekends and 250 on weekdays. As part of the celebration, Kenangan Coffee Taiwan introduced the special Pistachio Macchiato. In addition, customers in Taiwan can enjoy a variety of Kenangan Coffee’s signature menu items that combine high-quality Indonesian coffee beans with flavours tailored to local preferences.
