3 Automations You Can Build Today

Summary: Small marketing teams are under increasing pressure, with many feeling overwhelmed by limited time and resources. This blog highlights how simple, no-code campaign automations can ease that burden by turning manual tasks into efficient, always-on workflows that improve consistency and customer experience.

Small, overworked marketing teams often struggle with limited time and resources. In fact, 65% of marketers have felt overwhelmed in the last 12 months, with small teams facing the worst time pressures and workload (source).

Simple campaign automations turn manual tasks into effortless workflows, saving overwhelmed marketers hours per week, while ensuring consistent, high-quality customer experiences that won’t slip through the cracks amid tight schedules.

These three simple automations take under an hour each to set up, need no coding, and deliver higher quality customer experiences.

1. Welcome Email Series

Trigger an instant welcome email when someone subscribes or makes their first purchase.

A quick, warm introduction goes a long way; it’s the baseline customers expect when they fill out a form, make a purchase, or subscribe, confirming their action has been received.

This nurtures leads immediately, turning one-time visitors into loyal fans with zero ongoing effort.

How to do this with Click (form submission example):

Go to Campaign Automations > New.

Drag in a Form Submitted trigger; select your specific Form Capture.

Drag in an Email Send action, link it to the trigger, and set properties: choose your template, sender, and dynamic recipient (e.g., {Contact(Posted Form)} or {Lead(Posted Form)}).

Save, test, and publish.

2. Lead Scoring Alerts

Automatically score leads based on actions like page visits, downloads, or email opens.
Set rules to flag high-potentials (e.g., score 50+ points) and notify your team.

This prioritizes hot prospects without manual checks, increasing conversion rates by focusing effort where it counts most.

How to do this with Click (setting up a Lead Scoring Model):

Go to Score Models > New.

Click + Add Rule for each action: e.g., IF Email Opened, THEN Add 5 to Total Score; IF Page Visited (specific URL), Add 3; IF Form Submitted/Download, Add 10-25 and so on.

Set a No Activity rule to decay scores (e.g., Subtract 3 after 30 days).

Save and publish; scores update on Leads/Contacts in real-time.

3. Reengage Inactive Leads

Inactive lead re-engagement automation spots leads who haven’t interacted (e.g., no opens, clicks, or visits) for 30 days or more, then sends a personalized “We Miss You” email with tailored offerings, like a discount or exclusive content, to spark renewed interest.

How to do this with Click

Go to Campaign Automations > New.

Add No Recent Activity trigger: Set to Leads, 30 days, exclude opens/clicks/page views/downloads.

Drag in Email Send action: Select a pre-built “We Miss You” email template with dynamic personalization (e.g., {!lead/FirstName} and add in any relevant offerings/content.

Test, save, and publish

Don’t let time constraints hold your marketing team back. Start building these quick and simple automations today to reclaim hours each week and deliver standout customer experiences without the hassle.

Each one sets up in under an hour with no coding needed, bringing quick wins in engagement, lead quality, and conversions. Take the first step: pick one, test it on a small segment, and watch your automations shift from reactive to proactive.
