There’s another new test feature…
I refer back to the advertising settings page recently to keep tabs on this. Click on Advantage+ Creative.
If the checkbox is checked to “test new creative enhancements,” you should see a list of the possible enhancements below it.
I’ve covered almost all of these before. But there’s a new feature: Reword Identified phrases.
What Is It?
If you click to edit tests, you’ll get additional details of each feature.
Here’s what Meta says about Reword Identified Phrases:
We’ll identify phrases from your text options and reword them to better accompany your ad creative as text overlays.
This sounds a lot like the text extraction feature we’ve seen before. But the difference here is that these phrases will be reworded to work better with your creative.
Some Issues
This enhancement could be dangerous (what phrases does Meta use??) and requires some trust. But you’re also likely to get very few impressions with this feature.
Meta does provide a way to preview how this might be applied, but it doesn’t seem to be working right for me. I’m having a couple of pretty big problems with the preview feature.
1. The only ads I can select are CRAZY old. Like 10 years old.
2. The previews don’t show anything helpful. There’s a before and after, but the after can’t generate a preview.
This could be connected to the fact that the selected ads are so old.
It’s buggy for now, but it’s something to watch. Just another example of how Meta is using AI to optimize ads and create new versions for us.
