How We Intend to Lead This Year – Brookline PR

Each year at Brookline, we choose a theme that sets the tone for how we lead as an agency, how we work together as a team and how we support our clients in a changing communications landscape. It serves as a guiding principle for us throughout the year. This year, that theme is Forward.

To us, Forward is about momentum with purpose. It means anticipating what is next, embracing change thoughtfully and helping our clients move with confidence in an increasingly complex communications landscape. It also guides how we work together as a team, encouraging collaboration, curiosity and a shared commitment to pushing our work to the next level.

PR continues to evolve quickly and the opportunities to make an impact have never been greater. This year, we are already seeing clear trends shaping how PR is moving forward. We are seeing how critical it is to lead with authenticity, deliver high-value stories and build strong relationships with journalists. Moving forward is not simply about visibility, it is about meaningful connection and measurable impact.

It starts with authenticity. Audiences expect transparency and consistency, brands that show the real stories, people and purpose behind their work are the ones that earn long-term engagement. At Brookline, we guide clients to communicate openly and strategically so their messages stand out and connect with the right audiences.

From there, impact is driven by high-value storytelling. Content should do more than fill space. Every press release, article or visual should offer something useful, answer a question, solve a problem or share insight that matters. When storytelling is rooted in real expertise and informed by a deeper understanding of audience behavior, it gets noticed, shared and remembered. By combining social listening and community insights, we shape messages that resonate and inspire meaningful action.

Equally important are the relationships behind the stories. Inboxes are crowded with generic emails, but meaningful outreach requires understanding what journalists need, anticipating audience questions and providing credible timely expertise. Strong media relationships do not just secure coverage, they build trust and credibility that move brands forward over time.

AI supports this work by helping us monitor trends, identify opportunities and test ideas more efficiently. At Brookline it strengthens the research and strategic thinking behind our work, while the ideas, storytelling and perspective continue to be shaped by our team.

At Brookline, moving forward means putting authenticity, insight and storytelling at the heart of everything we do. We help clients communicate clearly, connect meaningfully and create impact that matters. Forward is not just a theme, it is the mindset guiding our team and the way we approach every campaign, every story and every challenge.

Katie Querin is an Account Coordinator at Brookline Public Relations. With experience across corporate, non-profit and event communications, she is passionate about strategic planning, digital storytelling and campaign execution. A proud Mount Royal University graduate, Katie brings creativity, care and attention to detail to every project she supports.
