Did Meta turn off your ad?
If you suspect that an ad was turned off without you doing anything, you’re not going crazy. There’s an explanation.
Not Delivering
I recently noticed that an ad was showing “Not Delivering” in the Delivery column and it was turned off.
This was weird because all other ads I turned off showed “Off” in the delivery column. And I was positive I never touched this one.
When I went to the Actions column, it displayed a Delivery Error.
It reads:
This ad is not delivering. Your ad has not generated any results in the past 14 days and is no longer delivering.
Not a Bad Thing
This actually makes sense. I was initially pretty annoyed when Meta wasn’t showing my ad. It stopped getting any impressions at all. But if Meta isn’t going to show it, turn it off. There’s no reason to keep it active at that point.
What should you do if this happens to you? You can either let it be or create a new ad that’s drastically different and see if you have better luck.
I recently wrote about what to do when one ad gets all the budget. Read it here.
