Meta is testing a new answer suggestions feature in instant forms…
Within Advertising Settings, click on Creative Features.
Some advertisers have the box checked to test new creative features.
If you do, you may have a new option: “Answer suggestions for short answer questions.”
How it Works
Here’s how Meta describes it:
When you add short answer questions to your instant form, AI from Meta will generate suggested answer choices for your question, making it faster and easier for people to answer.
Meta provides a generic example that I share in the video.
It looks like potential suggestions pop up as clickable buttons below the question.
Open Questions
What are actual examples of these suggestions? How exactly does Meta suggest these answers (other than “with AI”)? We don’t know.
In theory, this may increase the rate of form completion, but it also could hurt quality. If you start getting identical short answers from your instant form, now you know why.
Like all of these test enhancements, they won’t apply to more than 5% of impressions. You can always turn it off. But one day, it won’t be a test.
