Samsung Electronics has named RM of BTS as the global ambassador for Samsung Art TVs. A move that not only marks his return to official activities following his recent completion of mandatory military service in Korea, but also signals a global cultural shift.

RM’s status as a globally recognised art connoisseur is well established, shaped by his consistent engagement with the art world. His discerning eye and quiet dedication to visual storytelling have positioned him as a respected figure not only in music but also within global cultural circles. As he steps into his role with Samsung Art TV, his artistic credibility adds depth and authenticity to the collaboration.

Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics, emphasised the synergy: “RM’s passion for art and culture deeply resonates with our vision to make art more accessible through technology. We’re thrilled to welcome him as the ambassador for Samsung Art TVs, and we believe his voice will inspire a new generation to explore the world of art in meaningful, personal ways.”

Samsung Art TVs continue to redefine home entertainment by transforming living spaces into dynamic art galleries. Known for blending cutting-edge display innovation with artistic expression. These displays now offer a more personalised experience through the Samsung Art Store, a subscription-based platform hosting over 3,500 high-resolution artworks in 4K.

According to Samsung’s official announcement, as part of his ambassador role, RM will contribute curated selections and exclusive commentary on select pieces, offering rare insight into his visual tastes and artistic influences. His reflections will be accessible directly within the Samsung Art Store.  

Available in 117 countries, Samsung Art Store is an art subscription platform designed for Samsung Art TVs, including The Frame, NEO QLEDs, and QLEDs. It brings gallery-quality visuals into everyday living spaces, making art more accessible and inviting users to be part of a larger artistic community.

With a collection spanning over 3,500 high-resolution artworks from more than 70 global partners, the service gives users access to masterpieces from renowned galleries and acclaimed artists. Whether curating a living room gallery wall or transforming a space with a seasonal theme, subscribers can seamlessly integrate iconic artwork into their interior design routine — all in stunning 4K clarity.

RM, the leader of the supergroup BTS, shared his enthusiasm for becoming Samsung Art TV’s ambassador. “As someone who finds deep inspiration and comfort in art, I’m honoured to partner with Samsung to share my journey and love for visual creativity,” he stated. “Through this collaboration, I hope more people can connect with art in their everyday lives — just like I do.”

RM will also appear at Art Basel, one of the world’s premier international art fairs, held in Basel, Switzerland, as part of his new role. The session is set to offer a glimpse into RM’s artistic philosophy, showcasing his deep connection to the visual arts. Highlights from the event, including exclusive insights and behind-the-scenes moments, will be featured on the Samsung Global Newsroom, offering fans and art enthusiasts alike a unique opportunity to engage with the intersection of creativity and technology.
