Hannah Thame, Resonates’ account director and all-round agency wonder woman, has been shortlisted for Communications or Marketing Professional of the Year at the 2025 Women in Green Business Awards. The Women in Green Business Awards showcase the women and companies committed to tackling gender inequities as they drive forward the UK’s net zero transition.
Since joining Resonates, Hannah has consistently delivered strategic support and innovative campaigns for our diverse portfolio of sustainability and technology clients. She has been instrumental in driving successful marketing strategies for clients across the green energy transition. Her expertise spans from marketing planning and content creation to email and nurture campaigns, PR, and social media management – all delivered with a laser focus on measurable results and client satisfaction.
Hannah said: “I’ve been in the energy industry and driving green transition messages for a little over 20 years. I’ve just celebrated 9 years at Resonates, so winning this award would be the icing on the cake. In my role now I wear two strategic hats. My Account Director role means I lead client relationships across a range of cleantech and sustainability-focussed brands. In my capacity as Head of Operations, I’m responsible for driving internal efficiency and ensuring our business runs as productively as possible. From creating and managing agency processes and crafting pitch proposals, to organising ‘lunch-and-learn’ sessions and team get-togethers, this hat gives me the opportunity to suggest new ideas and influence change. It’s important to me the team all has a ‘hat’ and I want to foster an environment where we address the skills gap, we give everyone a seat at the table, and we listen to them.”
Expertise that resonates in the green space
Hannah’s recognition comes at a time when the demand for specialist green energy marketing expertise is at an all-time high. As businesses across sectors accelerate their journey toward net zero, there’s a growing need for communications professionals who truly understand both the technical complexities and market dynamics of the green transition. It’s one of the things that makes Hannah invaluable to our clients navigating the rapidly evolving sustainability landscape.
Being shortlisted for this award also validates Resonates’ position as a leading agency in the green and sustainable communications space. Hannah and the team’s deep understanding of the sector – from renewable energy technologies to policy implications and market trends – enables Resonates to create campaigns that not only reach the right audiences with the right information but have narratives and stories that break through the noise in a crowded marketplace.
Chris Dace, director and founder of Resonates said: “Hannah is talented, hardworking, creative, and lot of fun to work with. We’re lucky to have her on our team – and we regularly get feedback from customers who recognise the significant value she adds to their business. It’s well deserved that Hannah is now receiving wider recognition for the work she does and the skills she has.
“Being shortlisted for this award is also a validation of the culture we’ve created at Resonates, which is founded on bringing together a close-knit team of talented professionals, who can thrive and also make meaningful contributions to the green transition.”
The Women in Green Business Awards ceremony takes place in London next month, where Hannah will join other inspiring women who have been nominated for their work supporting change in the UK’s net zero transition.
