Cleantech has a problem. It’s too important to fail. The success of the green transition relies on innovation and the ability for businesses to scale their solutions to address a, frankly, climate-sized issue.
But given the immense size of this problem and the inherent risks that all start-ups and scale-ups face, it simply can’t be done alone. This is where strategic partnerships come in.
Many hands make light work – they can also lift up cleantech solutions to ensure their success.
The need for partnerships and Resonates’ approach
For those in our sector, not having the resources and expertise across every aspect of the industry required to make a new cleantech innovation a success is a challenge. It’s also natural. There are stages along the journey from research and design through to product launch and growth that require specialist knowledge and experience to ensure they’re a success.
And rather than rely on a small team to do everything – which few businesses can do – it’s important to find partners who can help. This is because partnerships allow for access to each business aspect needed to support the success of a new innovation: PR, marketing, events, communications, investment, consultancy and advisory elements. Ultimately, partnerships allow for greater, wider achievements.
At Resonates, we believe that our skillset is uniquely positioned to support our clients, but know where our limits are and where connections need to be made. That’s where collaborations with our network come into play, supporting wider missions and goals. When we partner with complimentary companies that align with our values in the green transition sector, we can offer more to our clients, go further and provide more support. As well, we offer a helping hand to our partners. In the end, it’s the cleantech innovations and the business being championed that benefit.
KAP x Resonates – putting the ‘art’ in partnership
Kantar Advisory Partners is a boutique consultancy specialising in supporting early-stage startups that developed innovative climate solutions on their growth strategies. Its services include strengthening investment material, growing investor network, business strategy support, Middle East and North African market entry support and event management.
Kantar approached Resonates with a proposal, it needed narrative and network to help bring an innovation to light, spread brand and event awareness and essentially support its clients’ major launch event. And of course, we were more than happy to help.
“We looked to Resonates because of their deep understanding of clean tech comms. Their strategic approach and passion for the green transition made them the perfect media partner for the ‘Wings of Tomorrow’ event – the results exceeded our expectations”, said Bassel Hajj, business development manager at KAP.
What the partnership brought to light
Together we worked on GT Wings’ ‘Wings of Tomorrow’ launch event, bringing a new cleantech innovation to the social feeds and event calendars of stakeholders around the UK.
Kantar organised the launch event and brought together speakers from a range of backgrounds across the maritime industry, from government to shipping to investment. George Thompson, GT Wings Founder and CEO, introduced the cleantech innovation, the AirWing, and covered the development process and the testing that was undertaken. Over 120 people attended, marking the start to a successful launch for GT Wings.
As the primary media partner, we promoted the event, crafting compelling social posts, blogs on maritime decarbonisation and email campaigns. Using digital marketing and a range of appropriate channels, our campaign ultimately lead over one hundred individuals to the RSVP form on Kantar’s website.
As for the event, leaders at GT Wings had much to say, “from sharp keynote insights and an honest panel discussion, to the premiere of our launch film and real conversations on next steps — the energy in the room reflected a clear shift: clean m
aritime innovation is no longer a concept, it’s happening now.”
The event was a resounding success, with many in attendance to witness the launch of the AirWing to market. Combining our separate strengths, PR strategy meets business insight, we were able to create significant impact for this new and important innovation primed to decarbonise the maritime industry.
Partnerships are part of the solution
We continue to partner with Kantar, combining our expertise under a shared mission to provide impact and investment for cleantech innovators that need awareness and want to scale. Our work together highlights the successful place of partnerships for scaling climate solutions.
Ultimately, without partnerships, tackling each aspect of supporting new innovations, clean goals or successful sustainability projects would be too difficult. Together, we can make the right clean solutions that will benefit people and the planet.
