NotebookLM is now available for younger users to help them learn, study and understand their class materials. They can now:
- Turn their notes into a podcast-like Audio Overview in multiple languages
- Visualize connections in their sources with interactive Mind Maps
- Ask questions about their sources to deepen their understanding
NotebookLM has stricter content policies for users under 18 that help prevent potentially inappropriate or harmful responses. Additionally, users’ chats and the sources they upload are not human reviewed or used to train AI models.
For Google Workspace for Education users, NotebookLM is available as a core service for all ages and is covered under their Workspace for Education terms. For consumers, NotebookLM is available for users 13+ (or the minimum age in your country) and is covered under the Google terms of service.
