In Grow a Garden, the trading system was released during the Trading Update.
Trading allows players to swap Pets and Fruits to other players in the game.
You can include up to 12 items per trade and the estimated value of it will be shown.
In addition, you can hover over added items to see their Sheckle value and crop weight.

How to Trade in Grow a Garden
To trade in Grow a Garden, you must first purchase a Trading Ticket from the Gear Shop.
After you’ve purchased a Trading Ticket, hold it in your hand, and go next to the player you want to trade with.
Select “Send Trade Request” and wait for the other player to accept your trade.
Lastly, both players must add the item(s) to trade, accept, and confirm to complete the trade.
What can you trade in Grow a Garden?
In Grow a Garden, you can trade fruits, pets, and Sheckles with each other.
You cannot trade seeds, gear, crates or eggs.
