How to Fix “This software cannot be used as the same time as the game” in Skate
Fix 1: Uninstall Interception
- Go to this Github page: https://github.com/oblitum/Interception/releases/tag/v1.0.1.
- Install “Interception.zip”, right-click, select “Extract All…”, and select “Extract”.
- Open “Interception” > Interception > command line installer.
- Copy the URL at the top (e.g. C:\Users\hwlim\Downloads\Interception\Interception\command line installer).
- Search for “cmd” using Windows Search and select “Run as administrator”.
- Paste the URL you’ve copied and press Enter:
- Example: cd C:\Users\your-username\Downloads\Interception\Interception\command line installer
- Usage: Add a “cd” in front followed by the file path you’ve copied in step 4
- Copy and paste this “install-interception.exe /uninstall” (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
- Restart your PC and try launching Skate again.
Fix 2: Close DS4 for Windows
- Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and select “Task Manager”.
- Right-click “DS4Windows” and select “End Task”.
- Select the arrow icon on the Windows taskbar to show hidden icons.
- Right-click the DS4Windows icon and select “Exit”.
- Try launching Skate again.
