We’re announcing a major partnership with California Community Colleges – the largest higher education system in the United States – to bring our AI tools and training to its 2.1 million students and faculty. This collaboration provides no-cost access to resources like Gemini for Education, NotebookLM and Google Career Certificates across all 116 colleges. The partnership includes:
- No-cost access to cutting-edge AI tools: Students and faculty will receive access to Gemini for Education and NotebookLM with enterprise-grade data protection.
- No-cost access to training: students and faculty will receive access to Google Career Certificates, Google AI Essentials, Prompting Essentials and a Google AI in Higher Education course. These programs provide practical, hands-on training for AI use and in-demand jobs.
- Integration with curriculum: Google and the Chancellor’s Office will collaborate with faculty to integrate these AI certifications and courses into existing college curricula and academic or career progression routes.
