Rachel Salis-Silverman will join Ragan as its first CCO.
Ragan Communications has named Rachel Salis-Silverman its inaugural chief communications officer — a new role focused on bringing the perspective of working communicators into the company’s programming, community and learning initiatives.
A strategic communications leader with more than 25 years of experience, Salis-Silverman most recently served as vice president of reputation and communications at Nemours Children’s Health, where she led teams across public relations, social media, internal communications, thought leadership and crisis management.
“As someone dedicated to a lifetime of learning, I can think of no better opportunity than serving as the inaugural chief communications officer for Ragan,” said Salis-Silverman. “My vision is to build on Ragan’s legacy by identifying emerging trends and translating insights from our community to curate programming and services that can further elevate the communications profession.”
At Ragan, she’ll help shape learning and development programs, conference curriculum, peer-to-peer events and proprietary content for the Communications Leadership Council and the Center for AI Strategy — ensuring Ragan’s offerings continue to reflect the evolving needs of communicators.
