A more relevant Promotions tab
We’re also updating the Promotions category in Gmail. Soon, you’ll be able to sort by “most relevant” promotional emails, making it easier to see updates from senders and brands that matter most to you — including ones you engage with the most. We’ll also incorporate helpful “nudges,” which will highlight upcoming deals and timely offers so you don’t miss out.
While we’re excited about this new experience, we want to give users control over how they want these emails to be sorted. If you prefer to see these emails like they are today, you can simply select the option to sort promotional emails by “most recent” instead of “most relevant.”
These updates will start rolling out in the coming weeks on mobile to users in their personal Google accounts.
